Bank Caisse d’Epargne was founded in 1818 in Paris.
The Caisse d’épargne financial group until July 2009 consisted of 17 branches in France. On 31 July 2009, the band teamed up with the Banques Populaires. As a result, the new company, called Groupe BPCE, became the second-largest banking group in France.
Along with La Banque Postale and Crédit Mutuel, bank share rights offering popular Livret A savings accounts, with the support of the French government until January 1, 2009.
